Turkey is a country with many tourist destinations, and has beautiful beaches and a rich history and culture definately worth discovering!

The old Constantinople or the modern Istanbul is a great place to visit, and is also one of the main cities in Turkey. With its monuments, the mighty Bosphorus Strait, and the European part, the Asian part, and then you've got to see its other main city, Ankara.

Other more touristic destinations are those which lie on the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, and the Aegean Sea, where the beaches and crystaline waters are common... cities like Izmir, Antalya, and Marmaris.

Turkey is a country of contrasts that you can appreciate from its main cities. Some of them are western in nature, and others are clearly conservative to traditions, cities where Islam is very strong, and other cities where Orthodox religion is in place.
